NASCAR’s Championship Under Fire!

In this episode NASCAR’s Championship comes Under Fire when award-winning journalist and Motor Week LIVE host, Patrick Reynolds doesn’t hold back regarding his opinion of the Talledega race, the chase, and the championship.

Patrick welcomes ARCA driver Mason Mitchell to the show for a look at his success in the ARCA series, and to hear what he has planed for the future at Mason Mitchell Motorsports. When asked, Mason didn’t hold back either with his comments about the finish of the  Talledega race. Hear what he has to say about the wreck! You may be surprised. And keep up with Mason, we think he’s going to be a force in auto racing for a long time to come.  A great racer, who doesn’t mind speaking his mind.

In the last half of the show Patrick goes into the best rant we’ve heard. I n fact, it is actually the only rant we’ve heard Patrick engage. Is NASCAR’s championship a crock? Are the champions since 2004 really champions? The man makes some great points….especially when recalling the steps that led to the embarrassing finish to the Talledega race.  If you like NASCAR’s playoff system, you won’t like this. If you like races finished under caution, you won’t like this. If you like what has happened to what was formerly and obvious world-class sport. You won’t like this. Don’t bother listening. If you, like most older fans who helped create the pinnacle to which NASCAR once rose, and  hate the chase….you’ll love it. Why does NASCAR need a playoff? Give it a listen and share it with others. Let us know what you think. Let us know if you agree that NASCAR’s Championship should come under fire! We think it is one of the best shows we’ve aired. Hope you enjoy!
